Monster Hunter: World roars to life with PC launch
Monster Hunter: World is an action RPG in which players take on the role of the game’s namesake, Monster Hunters. Players progress by slaying or capturing progressively tougher monsters. Using the parts from these monsters, plays can upgrade their weapons and armor and continue challenging ever tougher giant monsters.
If your friends’ list on Steam is anything like mine. You would have seen them all playing the same game at midnight. That’s right; today is the launch of Monster Hunter: World for PC. The game was made available in Singapore at 12am sharp.
The PC release for one of Capcom’s most popular franchise has been much anticipated since it was first announced back in July. Monster Hunter world was originally only released on the PS4 in January this year. This PC release will be the first time the Monster Hunter franchise has ever been ported to the PC. In fact, as of the time of this writing, Monster Hunter: World is the third most popular game on Steam with over 190,000 players online right now. That is an impressive number considering Monster Hunter: World just released earlier today.
Monster Hunter: World is now available on Steam. Special collaborations and other additional content that was released post-launch on other platforms will be made available for free on the PC at a later date.
