E3 2014: Xbox One Singapore Launch & Pricing Details (UPDATED)

Microsoft has finally made known the Xbox One launch details for Singapore.

To be out at retail on September 23rd, the console will be priced at S$639 for a basic set. A Kinect bundled version will also be available for S$739.

This will put the Xbox One on a direct price collision course with the PlayStation 4, which is also priced at S$639. The latter console however, will have had a good eleven month head-start and a larger library of games by then. In contrast, the Xbox One will have 15 games at launch that includes back-dated titles such as Battlefield 4 and Forza.

There certainly is a sense of urgency by Microsoft Singapore to push out as many games as possible in time for the Holiday season, and exclusive games like Sunset Overdrive and Scalebound (by famed Japanese developer Platinum Games, no less) that were shown at the Xbox One E3 Press Conference earlier can’t come soon enough.

UPDATE 1: Gamers in Taiwan, Hong Kong and India can also expect to get the Xbox One consoles on 23rd Sept. China and Japan will also see a September launch. Korea however, hasn’t got a confirmed launch date as yet.
